Kastamonu Entegre Group, a Turkey-based company and one of the world’s leading producers of wood-based panels, presents an installation conceived as both a physical and narrative material library, designed to translate technical knowledge into a direct and engaging experience. At its core, a large display surface presents a selection of samples representing not only the final products, but also the research and manufacturing processes behind them.

This physical and conceptual journey through materials and processes highlights the mission of Kastamonu Italia S.p.A., the Group’s Italian manufacturing branch, whose activity is centred on the recovery of 100% post-consumer wood, its transformation, and the production of chipboard panels, ultimately evolving into melamine-faced surfaces. At this stage, materials become a medium for textures, colours, and finishes.

Having already lived a previous life, recycled wood re-enters the production cycle as a new design resource, while maintaining high standards of quality, reliability, and aesthetic consistency. Designed for furniture and interior applications, the final panels embody a balance between technical performance and material culture. In this context, circularity is not an added value but the starting point: reducing the use of virgin resources requires rethinking how objects are designed, produced, and reused.
