ReUp® – a brand by Versalis (Eni’s chemical company) that offers products for furniture and home décor made from recycled plastics or alternative raw materials –  interprets design through plastic, transforming materials made entirely or partially from renewable sources or recycled content, into furnishing objects that combine style, greater environmental sustainability, and innovation. ReUp® re-thinks plastic as an evolved material, no longer an icon of the past but a contemporary resource, more responsible and aligned with the needs of everyday life.

At The New State of Materials, ReUp® presents Opaline, a new collection designed by Giulio Iacchetti as a tribute to structural lightness, made with SAN Balance® a styrene-acrylonitrile polymer  that incorporates recycled plastic for design and household objects, valued for its stability, scratch resistance, and refined look. Opaline was born from an observation of the material quality of ReUp®, whose characteristics recall the milky, diffused light of opal. The term refers to the tradition of opaline glass, reinterpreted in a contemporary, technological, and more environmentally sustainable way, thanks to the renewable or recycled raw materials used. ReUp® supports cultural circularity by offering a platform that brings together values, ideas, and projects. It promotes dialogue between materials, design, and innovation, helping redefine contemporary furnishing.
