Nazena boards are made of a composite material based on a natural matrix reinforced by recycled textile fibres from post-industrial and post-consumer fabric waste, which is upcycled and transformed into a new, durable material.
Nazena Monolithic Boards are mainly made up of a mix of textile materials – up to 70% – with a variable composition in the form of pressed fibres, which can differ in colour and length based on the production batch. They have good tensile strength and flexural rigidity also thanks to the natural binders representing 30% of their final weight. They are 5mm thick and density can vary from 500 to 1000 kg/m3. Some boards have sound-absorbing properties.
The Nazena material and its manufacturing process are patented.
By recycling textiles, Nazena transforms industrial textile waste and worn-out clothes into new products, tangibly contributing to a circular economy pattern. The Nazena method is a patented process that brings innovation and sustainability into the fashion industry. It allows us to recover up to 100% of textile fibers and obtain a resistant material that can be shaped according to customer preferences. Final products range from hangers and clothing accessories to packaging, sound absorbing panels and more.
