MeatPacking Antique Hemp is a collection of rugs produced using reclaimed antique canvases in hemp fibre. The canvases come from industrial hemp sacks and are upcycled through a process of sewing and dying.
The carpets are obtained by joining together various patches of fabric in an irregular yet elegant pattern, giving also the possibility of creating custom sizes and round shapes.
The natural sheen of this quality natural fibre and its excellent resistance to wear and tear give the rugs a unique visual and tactile experience

Initially developed within the North Italian visual and applied arts environment of the ‘70s, Deanna Comellini’s creative process focuses on the interaction between matter, form, and space, the quest for the perfect color palette, and the use of top-quality natural materials and high-performance technical yarns.
