Beyond Fashion
Digital fabrication and material performance: innovation for fashion and beyond
The search for technologies and materials for the fashion sector – garments and accessories – has in recent years gone beyond its traditional boundaries and is establishing itself as one of the most innovative and experimental fields, capable of engaging with seemingly distant industries: automotive, furniture and home décor, watchmaking, medical.
In its new headquarters, Materially presents four companies that represent this new path toward cross-sector innovation. Conceria Nuvolari, D-house laboratorio urbano, Legor and Orsini will share their solutions in the fields of technical leather, 3D printing on fabric, metal additive manufacturing and embroidery, respectively.
An opportunity to explore firsthand the multiple creative possibilities offered by new material-based technologies which, although born within the fashion sector, can potentially respond to the needs of other manufacturing industries.
