Description

Today, companies are called upon to face a radical change in the way they conceive and create their products to comply with requests and regulations increasingly guided by the Sustainable Development Goals. It is a challenge but also a great opportunity, of which materials are among the main protagonists.

How to orient yourself and move effectively, without falling into green washing? What are the possible strategies for the change in production paradigm traced by the circular economy? What opportunities are offered to designers in terms of material innovation?

Who is it aimed at?

The course is aimed at sustainability managers, design, R&D, marketing and CSR departments, and professionals interested in exploring the topic of sustainability and the circular economy from the point of view of materials and processes.

 

How it is structured

There are four modules lasting 2 hours each which explain, from raw materials to end-of-life, the possible approaches in the different types of materials, from plastics (of petrochemical or bio origin), to woods and derivatives, papers, textiles, leather and imitation leather, coverings, composites, etc.

2- In the loop – Recycling processes, recycled content, recyclability

3- Bio-future – Bio-based: durable, biodegradable, compostable

4- There was waste – Agricultural and industrial waste as new raw materials
